Vibrosphere® Scientific Abstracts at Eular 2010

We arepleased to finally present the two scientific Vibrosphere® abstracts ”Effectsof original rehabilitation programs in patients with fibromyalgiasyndrome” and “Effects of an original training program in healthyelderly subjects” by Dr D. Maquet et al, University Hospital CentreLiege, Belgium,  presented  at the EULAR congress in Rome, June 16-19,2010.

The fibromyalgia study which incorporates 10 womenshowed that the Vibrosphere® training program was effective and that thebalance and physical functions in FM patients improved. The studyresults show that at the end of the training program physical functions(Chair Rising Test, Endurance Test, One Leg Balance Test and 24 h energyexpenditure) had improved significantly (p<0.05) in patients withFM.

The second study encompassing 12 elderly personsshowed that the training on the Vibrosphere was effective in improvingbalance and physical functions. The elderly showed a significantimprovement of performances (p<0.001) in the Timed Up and Go Test,One-Leg Balance Test and Chair Rising Test.
